JAZZFESTIVALEN Vol. 7 DAG 2 presenteres denne høsten av nyMusikk Bergen og Gyldenpris Kunsthall den 16. og 17. oktober.
DAG 2 (17.10) program:
13:30 Dobbelkonsert med Stein Urheim og Jo David Lysne
Stein Urheim og Jo David Lysne presenterer to forskjellige tilnærminger til renstemming og intonasjon på akustiske strengeinstrumenter, med utgangspunkt i deres respektive utgivelser Speilstillevariasjoner og Verk for renstemt klaver.
14:00–18:00 Kontaktmikrofon / elektronikk / mekkeverksted med Knut Olai Mjøs Helle

18:00 Consulatet Butikk åpner
Kjetil Brandsdal tar med seg sin eminente butikk fra Stavanger og holder åpent under hele Jazzfestivalen. Her kan du kjøpe plater, bøker, t-skjorter, plakater, silketrykk samt utgivelser fra artistene som spiller.
19:00 Jazzfestival-smalprat
Samtale med Inge Weatherhead om hans akusmatiske lydinstallasjon.
20:00 Konsert med Son of Barbara Hepworth’s Cactus
Paul Lewin, Alex Smirnoff og Alisdair Stirling er tre britiske herrer som bor på den ytterste vestlige tuppen av Cornwall i Sør-England, med Atlanterhavet i ryggen.
Ved hjelp av film, feltopptak, ord, ulike musikkinstrumenter og elektronikk tar de oss med på en reise gjennom skjønnheten og motsetningene i det pastorale og post-industrielle Sør-England.
21:30 Kjetil Brandsdal aka DJ Dridmachine
Spiller plater inn i de sene nattetimer.

Stein Urheim and Jo David Lysne present two different approaches to just intonation and tuning on acoustic string instruments, based on their respective releases Speilstillevariasjoner and Verk for just intoned piano.
14:00–18:00 Contact mic / electronics DIY workshop with Knut Olai Mjøs Helle
Bring your project and meet like-minded people — here there will be free exchange of tips and ideas.
If you don’t have a project but are curious about homemade electronics and DIY culture, you are also warmly welcome. Free entry.
18:00 Consulatet Butikk opens
Kjetil Brandsdal brings his excellent shop from Stavanger and will keep it open during the entire Jazzfestival. Here you can buy records, books, t-shirts, posters, silk prints as well as releases from the artists performing.
19:00 Jazzfestival talk
Conversation with Inge Weatherhead about his acousmatic sound installation.
20:00 Concert with Son of Barbara Hepworth’s Cactus
Paul Lewin, Alex Smirnoff and Alisdair Stirling are three British gentlemen living on the far western tip of Cornwall, South England, with the Atlantic at their back.
Through film, field recordings, words, various musical instruments and electronics, they will take us on a journey through the beauty and contrasts of pastoral and post-industrial South England.

Plays records late into the night.
